Transportation to, from and around UNO’s five campus locations generates a significant amount of greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants. Furthermore, residents in Louisiana suffer from a high rate of obesity. Providing and using alternatives to the single passenger automobile, such as transit, ridesharing, bicycling, and walking, would cut down on pollutants and promote healthier more active lifestyles.
